Strategic Advice for Climate, Politics, and Democracy

As a crossover between science and politics, my work focuses on the climate crisis, federalism, coalition governments, and public policy research. Drawing on experience and a sharp sense of political dynamics, I support relevant actors from politics, academia, and civil society in driving reform processes. Given the concerning rise of authoritarianism, I want to contribute with my work to a better, more strategic collaboration among pro-democracy forces across the Atlantic.

As an independent political consultant, I organize seminars, workshops, and retreats for foundations, associations, and civil society actors. Previously, I worked for Minister President Winfried Kretschmann, the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Washington, DC, in the German Bundestag, and our family business. I am a member of the Green Academy of the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation and of the German Political Science Association (DVPW). Many years ago, I studied political science in Marburg and Berlin. In my free time I enjoy playing chess, riding my bike through Berlin, and helping to organize the Kidical Mass.

Which forms of coalition management do the Greens use? And which informal structures have the Greens built up in recent years to coordinate among the state level and to the federal level?
